Art Beacon Digital Residency:

Through the ART BEACON Des Moines Instagram, we are granting Iowa-connected artists 1-2 week residencies in 2019. Residents share their work and process in daily posts. Artists are selected from online submissions. Interested artists please read our digital residency guidelines linked on our website: www.artbeacondesmoines.com/digital-residency/

Goals
• Offer a view into diverse art practices from Iowa-connected artists.
• Artists become visible to a community outside of their established network
• Artists can personally share context around their work that might otherwise be missed, overseen
• Connect with new artists accrued through the Art Beacon account

The idea is:
• Post as often as you wish (the more the better)
• Encourage discussion or just show us what you are passionate about.
• Share on your own platforms about your Art Beacon Digital Residency
• No pressure to #. But have fun with it if you want to. #dsmusa
• You can showcase studio rituals, material/tool tour, images of past work, in progress documentation, artistic influences, inspiration, conduct research, manifesto/theories, upcoming events, etc..

We want this to be a fun and enriching experience for everyone involved. Feel free to contact us if you have any concerns, questions or ideas about the project.
