“Governor Branstad announced a new quality of life initiative called Iowa Next….a new $26 million fund investing in local and regional quality of life projects that support cultural, natural and recreational community enhancement priorities across Iowa.This new statewide grant program would be administered by the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs in coordination with the Iowa Economic Development Authority, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Iowa Department of Transportation. An Iowa Next bill will be introduced during the 2015 Legislative session and must be passed by the Iowa Legislature to become reality. READ MORE.
