Lyndsay Nissen’s MetaStory: A present Iowa past
Historic tours will be offered of a two-story, multi-generational farmhouse, starting April 10th-11th and continuing April 18th -19th. The tour offers an artist’s interpretation of current social, political and economic issues of Iowa, through the historic lens of the iconic farmstead. The house, first built in the late 1800’s, continued to grow and change until around 1970’s. Guests will be lead through an interactive series of installations, artifacts, and time warp.
Refreshments, food, and entertainment will be provided. Parking is onsite at the farm. The location is a quarter mile north of the Gilbert Casey’s on US highway 69. Guests are encouraged to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org for a tour date and time. This event is free and open to the public.
