Jen Leatherby: Among the Garbage and the Flowers

Current Art Beacon Artist-in-Residence Jen Leatherby will be opening her new exhibition at the Des Moines Social Club’s Viaduct Gallery later this week. Leatherby’s minimalistic work explores femininity and softness on canvas. The show statement explains, “Among the Garbage and the Flowers was born out of an exercise in mental health. It's about trying to see and acknowledge the good and beautiful things in the world among the heartbreaking and destructive things.”

An opening reception with the artist for the exhibit will occur at Viaduct Gallery on Friday, March 5 at 6 PM.
