Gifford Brown is hosting an after hours tour of their art collection by national and Iowa-based artists as well as the latest LAZE installation by Rachel Buse. LAZE is a sculptural invasion where Buse is hand sewing large, stuffed masses of indolence into public and private spaces. She is targeting environments of productivity for her soft sculptures to inhabit and “laze” about in. Each installation takes about three weeks. Buse revisits the space daily, slowly adding layers and appendages to the invading mass. See the completed invasion on the tour Wednesday, May 3. TOUR INFO.
